Races begin at 8:30 A.M.

COST:
$12 per race / Late Registration $15 per race
 

DISCOUNTS:
$30 for race series

$10 per person for groups / teams of 5 or more! (must register together)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Flat, Loose, some ups & downs, and lots of switch backs!

DISTANCE:

1 lap = 5 miles

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: 
Mountain Bike, Helmet, Water Bottle or Hydration Pak

SUGGESTED ITEMS:
Bug Spray, Sun block, Water, Gatorade, Snack, Extra Tube, Lawn chair



CATEGORIES & RULES

CATEORIES: Male / Female

  • Expert (3 laps) = 15 Miles
  • Sport (2 laps) = 10 Miles
  • Beginner  (1 lap) = 5 Miles
  • Clydesdale 210 lbs. & Over  = 10 Miles
  • Juniors 10-12 (1 lap) = 5 Miles
  • Kids 7-9  (1 lap modified) = 4 Miles
  • Kids 6 & under (1 lap modified) = 4 Miles

CATEGORY UPGRADING:
You may upgrade to the next category up one time, during  the season. If you change category, you sacrifice your current points.


SCORING: Points will be awarded for each race and  totaled for Championship Series.

AWARDS:
1st - 5th Medals & Ribbons for each race 

Trophy Awards & Jersey  to Overall Series Champs in each category (awarded at last race)

"LEADER'S JERSEY":
The top points earner at any time will be awarded the Leader's Jersey. The Leader is expected to wear the jersey at each race, so long as they remain the the top holder. In the event that he/she is defeated, he/she must pass the jersey to the new Leader
(Jerseys will be turned in to U.S.A. staff after each race, and will be returned at the next). The overall winner of the series should wear the Leader's Jersey to the first race of the next season.

FEEDER ZONE:
The "feed zone" is a designate area where water bottles will be passed to racers. Only the Expert & Sports classes will allowed thru the "feed zone". You may have personal support only in the designated area. Anyone that provides personal support outside of the designated area, may cause the racer to be disqualified.

OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE:
Flat tires and mechanical problems should be repaired by the racer, and the racer must carry their own tools, tubes, etc. If outside assitance is required, a five minute penalty will be assessed.

CUTTING THE COURSE:
Cutting the course will result in disqualification, possibly a loss of all Series points. If you drop the race, be sure to tell the first Course Marshall you see.

MUSIC PLAYERS / HEADPHONES:
No IPods, MP3 Players, or other devices with headphones are allowed while riding or racing.

MODIFICATIONS:
We reserve the right to modify the system to accomodate changes and problems.
